Mechanical Tilt and Vibration Sensors

SignalQuest offers a family of surface-mount tilt and vibration sensors that provide simple, reliable, low cost solutions for on/off tilt angle switching and omnidirectional movement sensing.  Our SQ-SEN sensors have become the industry standard for GPS and RFID tracking applications, where they provide intelligent power management to interrupt and "wake-up" a microcontroller when activity is sensed.

These sensors are designed to be extremely low power, consuming virtually no power when at rest and generating a digital output when moved. They are fully passive, require no signal conditioning, and can be used in a triggering circuit that draws as little as 0.25uA of continuous current.

Despite their low cost, these are not Chinese made "toy grade" parts.  These devices are built in the USA, with 100% American made material, under strict quality standards.  There are 5 patents protecting the designs and high volume automated manufacturing supporting large capacity orders.

MEMS Inclinometers

SignalQuest's family of inclinometers are the smallest and lowest power fully calibrated modules in the industry.  They combine advanced 2 and 3-axis measurement algorithms with the reliability and performance of silicon MEMS accelerometers to provide a balance of price and performance that is unmatched.

Our systems are deployed throughout the world in diverse applications such as pipeline inspection, vehicle leveling, ROV navigation, satellite positioning , physical therapy and rehabilitation.

MEMS Programmable Tilt Switches

Based on the same reliable, calibrated angle measurement found in the inclinometer products, SignalQuest offers programmable tilt angle switches that trigger a digital output line when a tilt angle is exceeded.

MEMS Vibration Sensors

SignalQuest's family of MEMS vibration measurement devices compute real-time 2 and 3 axis vibration level.  This makes vibration measurement simple and affordable as it greatly simplifies the task of quantifying vibration levels. They are commonly used in embedded applications for motor vibration monitoring.

MEMS Accelerometers

SignalQuest's family of MEMS accelerometers are commonly used in the prototyping phase of a design as they allow the easy capture of shock, vibration and tilt to a computer for recording and analysis, enabling simple benchmarking of different SignalQuest devices.  They are also used in wireless data acquisition, process monitoring and remote sensing applications where low cost, calibrated acceleration measurement is required.
